Winston's real Copper Tops are one-of-a-kind , heirloom quality that have been individually hand-hammered, formed and assembled using processes and techniques that are hundreds of years old. To acheive the aged look, each top is placed over and open flame yeilding the color variations and individual character of each top. A light coat of paste wax is applied in the final finish process for protection. This wax will slow down the natural aging process. However, the natural patina that copper develops over time may be a desirable look. If that is the case, you don't have to do anything to the top- just let it age naturally.
